Okay, so a new development in the Sims. (If you don't want to hear this, skip this entire post.) I finally built all ten houses in the neighborhood, and furnished them. The inhabitants are characters from the plays Glass Houses and Just Looking, the stories Second Home, Eve/Fell, and Dan, Dominique, and Kristin who are the stars of my yet-to-be-written TV series, Small World. Anyway, I decided I would get every single "family" completely set before I would actually let any of them live. (If you have the Sims, you know the difference between Live, Buy, and Build Modes, if you don't, sorry.) So, I finally clicked into Live Mode. Nothing happened. The Sims were frozen on their sidewalk, and the clock in the game was stuck at 7:00. I tried all three of the time-elapse modes, regular, fast, and uber-fast, still nothing. Frozen.
Obviously, this is the suck. I've already contacted Maxis online support, and I'm supposed to hear from them probably by Tuesday. If anyone has any ideas for what I should try, I'd be glad to hear them. It's probably important to note that the Sims were working fine (moving and living and everything) when I had just the Sims, it's only since I installed the first two expansion packs that my troubles began.
I haven't been doing much of anything lately. Minimum socialization, cursing the frozen Sims, watching movies, typing various things for Frank... Sad but true, my life sans S&C is little else but empty.
