So, I voted for the first time yesterday, and lots of Democrats won? Coincidence? Welllll... yes.
Today, when I was leaving my dorm, there was a couple saying a really long goodbye in the hallway. And as I walked to class, I was mentally composing this poem that really depressed me. It's still in my head, waiting to be written down. But I got to English, and he read us Wordsworth all morning, which was fun and didn't require a lot of concentration, which was lucky indeed. I was going to write the poem, but it would have made me sad, so instead, I started drafting the These Aren't My Shoes Productions "Manifesto." which made me happy... well, hopeful... I miss real theatre so bad...
I was reading Dan's 'blog, and I know exactly what he means about Guerilla being a drain. In fact, I think I said it first... I don't blame anyone for the lack of organization, somehow the group just isn't focused. (Dan - The reason people weren't on time yesterday was because of the performance that was immediately before that. We were all like, "Ron, we need a few minutes to get snacks/change clothes/drop off books/et cetera." And he was like, "Okay." So... yeah, my guess is the only people who were on time for the 3:30 rehearsal were the people who weren't at the 2:15 performance...) I guess there's just something missing from it, I can't exactly figure out what it is. Did I mention that I miss real theatre? I miss a lot of things and a lot of people, but theatre is the thing I miss so much it overwhelms me.
Wednesday: Lunch with Michelle at noon, 5:30 Visit to Katie Karl. Guerilla performs at 8pm at LCC.
Thursday: Chem Exam, FOI Paper due, Watching Silence of the Lambs at Dan's, around 8:30pm
Friday: Birthday Party at my house - as in permanent residence.
Saturday: U-High Speech Workshop, Saturday Night: The Crucible @ ISU, Theatre of Ted (enthusiastic applause).
