Today, U-High hosted its first speech meet (in recent history). Ali, Eva, and Maria all showed up to judge. Unfortunately, since I was playing Head Coach today, I didn't have much time to spend with any of them. =( BTW, Ali looks radically different. I completely missed Jess, David, Emily, Adam, and Annie. ::sigh:: The speeches somehow get worse at every meet I judge, and I get progressively lazy with my comments. I must have written "Your ending lacks finality," and "Experiment to try to find highs and lows" a dozen times each. Oh, and on one, I wrote, "Find the courage to make this piece your own." Half a zillion points if you recognize the reference - or explain to me what I thought I meant by that comment.
My "Things to Do" list is hovering somewhere around 23 items... Eek. Tomorrow, I move my stuff back into the dorms... I might even decide to go in search of books, maybe even find my classrooms.
