Stuart Davis = My Kindred Spirit?

I don't know how long I can sit with you this time
The suffering in your live shrouds the joy in mine
So maybe you should just call me when this sadness finally ends
and you're ready to laugh again
-- Someone Else's Ears

Can I just say... Been there?

While it might not sound like it from the excerpt above, when you read the entire song, you can't help but be left with the impression that the self-righteousness and hostility masks a tremendous amount of guilt. Hence the power of this song.

Other songs of interest: Fall Awake, and Uncle Seth's False Gospel.
