I Learned the Truth at 17

Thursday, May 17, 2007 @ 2:20 PM

Something I said when I was in high school:

"Sometimes I think the only reason I advocate no-strings-attached relationships is because I realized early on that I had no hope of finding someone willing to attach strings to me. My jaded view might be the product of an intellect with too much time on its hands and no self-esteem. Logic, after all, is in the eye of the logician."

God. I've always been too self-aware for my own good.

you've always just been very aware, in general. once you said to me something regarding my "unchaste rebellion" that went something along the lines of "you're giving it too much power by naming it. it is what it is and you are who you are--this rebellion does not create or alter or define you. it merely gives you the tools to see yourself more clearly." i think you're smart.
