RACHEL
I never truly understood what happened between Brandon and Jessica. Jessica and I were never talking anymore, and all Brandon would ever say was,

BRANDON
If there was anything I could do over again, I wouldn't have said what I said to her.

RACHEL
He wouldn't tell me what it was he said the night they broke up. It was one of Brandon's many, many secrets. And Brandon had a lot of secrets.

BRANDON
No one is ever going to know the truth about how I feel, because I am never going to tell them.

RACHEL
That was how I explained to myself how he seemed to take everything so calmly. Brandon was somewhat of a mystery to me. Not like Jack. I had known Jack so long that I felt like we understood each other. We shared one thing above all: our feelings about love. What love should be. It was,

JACK
Love is like a rhinoceros; short-sighted, if it cannot find a way, it will make one.

RACHEL
But it was more than that. Jack was funny, and poetic... and he was a god among men. I don't really know if Cynthia knew it or not. Somehow, I think... I felt that she did.
